| FTR MOTO2 MACHINE PRESENTED AND HEADS FOR SPAIN |
![]() FTR MOTO unveiled it’s Moto2 machine at a formal presentation at the Marylebone Sports Bar & Grill in London yesterday afternoon and the machine will make its track debut at the Montmelo circuit near Barcelona tomorrow. The presentation was attended by media, commercial and technical partners of the FTR project and FTR director Steve Bones was pleased with the reaction. “It’s difficult to know what people will think when you’ve created something that is 100 per cent our own initiative, design and build,” said Bones. “Thankfully everybody loved the machine and we’re hoping for a similar reaction when we arrive at Montmelo.” Bones continued: “We’ve already had a lot of enquiries from teams and customers and we’re beginning to get to the business end of the year in terms of teams preparing for the new, 2010 Moto2 World Championship. “We’ll gauge the response in Spain this weekend – as they prepare for their own national Moto2 Championship from 2010 but overall we’re very happy with the response to the machine and the compliments being paid.” FTR Moto will deliver the machine to its partner team in Spain, the Joe Darcey Honda Team, for demonstration and development laps during this weekend’s fifth round of the CEV Buckler Spanish Championship. Spanish rider Diego Lozano will test the machine at Montmelo and British rider Graeme Gowland will then race the machine in the final two rounds of the Spanish Championship, at Jerez on November 15 and Valencia on November 22. |
