| FTR MOTO NOW AWAITS MOTO2 ENGINE RULING |
| FTR MOTO is on course with its Moto2 project and is now awaiting the ruling by the World Championship Grand Prix governing bodies to determine a final engine specification for the new category’s inaugural year of competition in 2010. Initial Moto2 regulations offered a choice of engines but following further discussions with Grand Prix manufacturers and teams representatives a single engine supplier has been agreed. The actual supplier will be announced in the near future. “We’ve continued our development to schedule,” explained FTR Moto director Steve Bones. “We’re now keen to discover the outcome and decision regarding the engine ruling.” FTR Moto will introduce its Moto2 prototype contender in the Spanish CEV Buckler Championship in 2009 – as preparation for the 2010 World Championship - and is relishing the opportunity to join the exciting new series in Spain. “We attended the opening round of the Spanish Championship at Albacete and the interest and enthusiasm for Moto2 is really encouraging,” continued Bones. “Plus, the enquiries we’ve had from teams interested in the FTR Moto machine since we announced the project four weeks ago has been far better than we expected and left us all every excited about Moto2.” |
